Wow what an amazing blog. He has wonderful instructional videos that explain how to do everything he talks about. I looked at his DropITTOme site and found that to be very interesting. Another site that really caught my eye was the one about keeping parents engaged in the classroom using text. I like the idea of parents signing up to receive a text from the teacher. I think it could really benefit some students in helping them study harder.
As far as making a blog that would be like this for my students it would really take sometime. Richard has done some really nice work and you can tell that he spends a lot of time on it. I think that all teachers could do this and most should do this but they just don't have the time to do it. I think, however, blogging in the classroom is a wonderful idea and a great tool to get kids more involved.
Nice post, Brett. Lots of great things to learn on that blog. I also love his Google Books that are digital. Perfect to put on advices. You may want to check those out. Yes, blogs do take time, but if you just post once a day during plan time, before you know it, there is an incredible resource for students and parents.
