Skype and Blog I will use in class

This class is full of a lot of material that I could use in my classroom.  My job is figuring out how much to use and how often to use it.  I really enjoy Skyping with people.  I think that Skype is such a good tool.  I am getting closer to having my blog set up in my classroom.  By second semester we will be blogging with another school and Skyping with them too.

Ending Women's Suffrage

I Love to show this video during class when we are talking about women's rights. I do this with my seventh graders. The kids love this video.

Skype is a very important tool.  In our house we use Skype all the time.  We use it to talk to grandma and grandpa who live over an hour away.  I also use Skype in the classroom to connect with other schools.   I think Skype is one of the best free tools a teacher can use.

Guess I need to follow directions a little better.  My name is Brett Webster and I teach Jr. High Social Studies at Cambridge Public Schools.  This is my 4th year here and 5th year teaching.  I just got married this past March.  I have one step son and my dog.  I coach Jr. High Football, boys Track, and Head Varsity Girls Basketball.  They keep me busy down here.

I am excited to continue to use this blog so I can use it in my classroom.
